Spoken Word at the Merlin presents Green Platter

10th October 2019, 8:00pm - 10:00pm, The Merlin Theatre, Bath Road, Frome BA11 2HG

I'm honoured to be reading from my new pamphlet, Instead, Let Us Say at this lyrical celebration of the natural world with awareness of humanity's urgent role in its preservation.
Poetry has always celebrated the environment and at this time of heightened awareness of our affinity with the land and seas, five superb poets will raise your spirits with this stirring presentation of eco-poetry.
Includes optional supper (the platter!) at 7pm: Green Mezze by Jo Harrington, served in the foyer before the performance: £8, pre-booking essential.
My co-featured poets for the evening are:
Rose Flint
Prize winning poet of nature and winner of the Littoral Press Competition for relating to nature, spirituality and the environment with her 'spellbinding' new collection Mapping the Borders.
Liv Torc
2019 BBC Somerset poet in residence for National Poetry Day, performance poet at Glastonbury Festival and WOMAD, director of the Hip Yak Poetry School whose poem about climate change The Human Emergency has gone viral across the world.
Deborah Harvey
Poet of landscape, nature & loss and member of IsamBards 'Festival of Nature' group
Rosie Jackson
Prize-winning poet, also reading a poem by Frome eco-activist Linda Perry
